Financial Coverage

Most insurance companies will support up to 12 weeks of participation. The rehab team will help you determine your coverage and can adapt the schedule and sessions to your needs. If your insurance company does not cover rehab, please contact the rehab team to discuss alternatives offered by the rehab department.

Nationally Certified Program Through AACVPR

The Cardiac Rehabilitation Program at the Wray Community District Hospital offers a comprehensive approach to the care and treatment of heart disease. This program is designed to help individuals who have cardiovascular disease obtain an optimal physical, social, and psychological wellbeing. Candidates for Cardiac Rehabilitation

All Clients Must Be Referred By Their Physician and Have One of The Following Diagnoses:

  • Acute MI (heart attack) within the past 12 months
  • Coronary Artery Bypass within the past 12 months
  • Stable Angina Pectoris
  • Heart valve repair or replacement
  • Coronary angioplasty or stenting
  • Heart or heart-lung transplant
  • Post pacemaker insertion
  • PAD (peripheral artery disease)
  • CHF

What is

  • Supervised (monitoring telemetry, vital signs, oxygen saturation)aerobic and strengthening exercise sessions three times per week.
  • Individually designed exercise program which utilizes the following equipment:
  • - Recumbent Stepper
  • - Recumbent Bike
  • - Schwinn Airdyne Bicycles
  • - Elliptical
  • - Treadmills
  • - Hand Weights & Weight Station
  • Regular, interactive communication with your physician regarding your progress.


Education is a key component to successful rehabilitation.This program focuses on education of heart disease and the development of healthy lifestyle changes that will help you enjoy longtermsuccess.

  • Healthy eating
  • When to call your doctor
  • Medications
  • Relaxation & Stress Management

Adult Fitness Program

The Adult Fitness Program is offered as an alternative to rehab by the Wray Hospital. It is similar to the cardiac program, but focuses primarily on fitness. It is not covered by insurancepatients must pay a nominal monthly fee. This program is open to the public and serves as an excellent stepdown from rehab. Many of our Rehab patients “graduate” to this program. If you are interested, please call for more information.
