February 22, 2022 – Wray Community District Hospital in Wray, Colorado announced it has been recognized as a 2022 Top 100 Critical Access Hospital. Compiled by The Chartis Center for Rural Health, this annual recognition program honors outstanding performance among the nation’s rural hospitals based on the results of the Chartis Rural Hospital Performance INDEX™.
“I cannot be prouder of our entire team for this recognition! It takes every member of the facility to go above and beyond to reach such a goal,” said Jennifer Kramer, CCO. “The past few years has certainly been challenging in the midst of the pandemic. But through the challenges, our team has risen up and continued to serve our community in amazing ways. We have added providers, performed more surgeries locally, and excelled in many quality metrics. I am thrilled that our team has been recognized for all the work they have done over the past few years. We could not have done this without the support of this amazing community as well!”
Over the course of the last 12 years, the INDEX has established itself as the industry’s most comprehensive and objective assessment of rural hospital performance. Leveraging publicly available data, the INDEX is trusted by rural hospitals, health systems with rural footprints, hospital associations and state offices of rural health across the country to measure and monitor performance across a variety of areas impacting hospital operations and finance.
The Wray Community District Hospital is a 15-bed, Critical Access Hospital dedicated to serve healthcare needs and provide our patients with the highest quality diagnostic equipment and clinical skills. The hospital is honored to receive this award.
