Board-certified surgeon Megan McKenna, DO, will join the General Surgery Department of Wray Community District Hospital (WCDH) on September 21, 2021.
“We are ecstatic to welcome Dr. McKenna to our team,” said John Hart, CEO. “We feel confident that Dr. McKenna will be the perfect fit for our hospital and our community.”
Dr. McKenna earned her bachelor’s degree at Colorado State University, attended medical school at Rocky Vista University of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed her residency with Ascension Genesys General Surgery Residency Program.
Being a Colorado native, McKenna was attracted to Wray because of the culture of the hospital and the community. “I really look forward to getting to know my patients on a personal and professional level.” Said McKenna.
Although she was certain at age 10 that she wanted to be the next Annie Oakley, she discovered a love for human anatomy. The ability to combine medical knowledge and procedural skills to provide patient care became her true passion.
Dr. McKenna is now living in Wray with her husband and sweet 18-month-old son. She is positive, compassionate, and truly cares about the wellbeing of her new community. WCDH is honored to have her serving the hospital district. Welcome, Dr. McKenna!
